Mission Statement

The Society for Geopolitics (S4GEO), promotes the education, discussion, understanding, and development of geopolitical thinking, the identification and management of geopolitical risk and opportunity.  We support  the use of applied geopolitical strategy and prediction among corporate leaders, investors, and policy makers.

Educating the business, investing and policy community, to make use of the tools of geopolitical analysis.

Collaborate:  Provide a forum for the exchange of geostrategic ideas and frameworks

Cultivate: Collect, develop, and strengthen methodologies and approaches, providing training and career development for geopolitical risk and strategic analysts

Elevate:  Advance the industry by promoting geopolitical thinking outside the walls of academia, hosting productive dialogue among strategy developers, executives, policy makers, military leaders, and practitioners.

Rodger Baker has served as the executive director of the Stratfor Center for Applied Geopolitics at RANE, a global center of excellence for geopolitical intelligence and analysis.  
Baker’s core emphasis is the multidisciplinary approach to geopolitics and the evolution of international relations to develop mid- and long-term forecasts to assist companies, governments and other globally engaged organizations make informed decisions.
Baker regularly holds exchanges with academic institutes and research groups around the world and frequently travels to brief executives and corporate boards as well as deliver keynote addresses to a wide range of industry groups.
